HOLIDAY DIFFICULTY IN AUCKLAND.
! . Auckland, Yesterday, i The vexed question of whether or not Monday, December 26, is to be kept as a holiday has put Auckland Racing Club in a quandary. ''At a meeting of the committee to-night it was decided to hold the meeting on the dates originally fixed, viz., December 26 and 29, and January 2 and 3, provided that trains are running as usual on the 26th, and that the Minister for Internal Affairs issues a totalisator permit for that day.
