THE TERRITORIALS
The usual monthly inspection parade of the headquarter companies and Band was held on Monday night under Lieut.Col. Malone. The musters were fairly good. After the inspection the men were marched through the streets. At Gover street the Band was dismissed, and an advanced guaffd formed .with the further end of the racecourss as their objective. Here there was a supposed enemy, and the duty of the advanced guard was to brush him out of the way. The work was fairly well done. At the inspection Colonel Malone said he noted that some of the men had put their uniforms on very badly; many belts were too slack, and some of those present would be all the better if they had their hair cut; he hoped matters such as these wguld be attended to. There will be five teams at the long range match on Thursday, viz., one team from the Rifles, and two each from the Guards and Stratford Rifle Club. Shooting will start promptly at 12.30 p.m., and all the men competing are expected to be on the range by that time. The Rifles' representatives will be Lieuts. Willis and *Marett, Sergt. Davies, Corp. Southam, Privates Marett, Blanohett, Okey and Arnold.
