Prince Leopold of Battenburg is a passenger by the Omrah, which reached Fremantle yesterday. A cablegram from London states that His Majesty the King received Admiral King Hall, the new Commander of the Australian station, and gave him an audience.
Mr. Robert E. Hughes, Registrar of Friendly Societies, has been stppointed Superintendent of the National Provident Fund, under the National Provident Fund Act, recently passed. He will combine the two offices, reports a Wellington message.
