By Cable—Press Association—Copyright.
Ottawa, December 11
A rescue party of twenty-five in the Bellevue mine were overcome by the fumes found on the floor of the main drive. One died under treatment by artificial respiration, and three others are in a critical condition. Twelve miners are still imprisoned, and there is little hope of their rescue alive. Women are forbidden to approach, and this has prevented any scenes at the pit moutli. Many foreigners are among the dead and missing. The Government is renderin<r prompt aid. Relief trains, with rescuers aboard, are arriving.
