THE TERRITORIAL CHANGES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. Judge Williams lias given lib judgment in the case re Andrews' bequest, holding that its destination had not been affected by the transference of the volunteers to territorials, the latter body being voluntary; but when the compulsory principle under section 24 becomes operative the bequest will pass to the Dunedin Corporation. GEAR MEAT COMPANY. Wellington, Friday. The report of the directors of the Gear Meat Company for the year ended November 30 states-that, including the amount brought forward, and after making allowance for depreciation and payment of the interim dividend, there remains a balance of £14,341 Is 6d, which the directors recommend for appropriation as follows:—Payment of dividend of 10 per cent, (less interim dividend of 5 per cent, paid in June), £4600; to be carried forward to next year's account, £9741 Is 6d. The directors recommend the payment of a bonus of 5 per cent, on the. paid up capital out of the insurance reserve. NATIONAL BANK. Wellington, Friday. The National Bank dividend referred to is at the rate of 12 per cent, per annum, and will be paid to shareholders in New Zealand on January 4. UNCUSTOMED GOODS. Wellington, Friday. In the Magistrate's Court to-day Edwin Zohrab, manager of the Wellington Steam Ferry Co., was fined £25 on a charge of unshipping goods from the tramp steamer Neptune. The charge of evading the customs duties was withdrawn. Counsel explained that defendant did not know when he bought the goods that duty had not been paid. He made no inquiries, assuming the goods were the property of the man who sold them.
