THE WEATHER.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:—Moderate to strong southerly and westerly winds have prevailed, with showery weather in most parts, particularly on the east coast of both islands. The barometer rose during the night, but has fallen slightly to-day about East Cape. Present indications are for cool and showery weather generally, especially southward of East Cape. Moderate to strong southerly winds will probably prevail southward of East Cape and Kawhia, squally in Cook Strait, and strong westerly winds in the far north. The barometer will probably rise slowly everywhere. |
