He was strongly convinced that the South African Union was a great work, well fashioned on souna and durable lines. If public men put aside those things that did not matter and used the Union for the purpose oi making South Africa great and prosperous, they need have no apprehension. The Duke and Duchess .sailed for England, thousands cheering them on the wharf, and Fort Hermes saluting as the Balmoral Castle passed. Received 5, 11.15 p.m. Capetown, December 5. Messrs. Fisher and Fowlds arrived at Capetown last night, and sail by the Athenic on the 9th.
