THE WEATHER.
By Telaarapb—Press AaßOoiadon. Wellington, ast Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' ■weather summary and forecast:—The disturbance which last week brought copious rains in the northernmost partis of the Dominion passed eastward on Saturday night, with strong southerly winds, and left a heavy swell on the east coast. The barometer rose in the far north, and remained steady elsewhere, but is now falling everywhere. Present indications are for northerly winds, generally moderate to strong northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and increasing elsewhere. The barometer will probably fall everywhere, with warm and hazy weather, unsettled probably soon on the West Coast and southern district of the South Island.
