The Show.—The Taranaki Agricultural Society held their annual show last Wednesday and Thursday, and the second day, commonly known as People's Day, turned out simply beautiful, the atmosphere cooled ami softened with a light southerly breeze. But although most of the ladies wore the latest creations in frocks, I am unable to give a detailed account of them owing to the dense crowd. Teed, New Plymouth. Miss Webstar, Xew Plymouth, is on a short visit to her sister, Mrs. R. Lusk, Parnell: a preparatory trip before the former's wedding, which eventuates early in January. Miss Davy, -w\o has been visiting her sister-in-law, Mrs. 0. Davy, New Plymouth, leaves oil Monday *for her home in Auckland. On the 7th inst. a Mo:s. Bewley. accompanied by Mrs. C'. A WAITARA LETTER For the opening of the Horticultural Sihow the weather was perfect. There ■was a splendid display of cut flowers, beautifully arranged. Roses and sweet peas were most prominent. The floral decorations and the decorated tables were a great centre of interest.
