There is some pressure to sell, on the strength of official estimates of a Russian crop of 96,640,000 quarters, and buyers are holding off. A cargo of Australian sold at 35s 9d, and a South Australian cargo afloat is offering at 36s 6J; Australian January-February shipment, 35s Od; parcels of JanuaryFebruary, 35s 6d; Australian, 37s Od; New. Zealand, 32s to 33s Od. Flour.—There is limited demand. Australian patents, 25s 6d to 265. Oats.—Flat. Cartons, 18s to 10s 9d; sparrowbills. 17s 6d to 18s 9d. Barley.—Quiet; sound, 45s to 48s. DAIRY PRODUCE. Received 2, 8.55 p.m. London, December 2. Thel butter market is quiet, owing to small arrivals, and prices are generally unchanged. Choicest Australian and.New Zealand are occasionally a shilling dearer. Cheese, firm; New Zealand unchanged. A Sydney cable to Mr. Newton King reads: "Hides unchanged."
