A HOPEFUL OUTLOOK. By Telegraph—Press Association. Westport, Last Night. As the result of development work at Mokihrjnui, there is likely to be a big revival in quartz-mining in this district. Some little time :ugo the men working in what is known as tfe Red Q,ueen district located a. reef twenty feet wide. They have since gone on with development work, and have uncovered 40 feet of the reef, which appears to be of a permanent character. Careful assays made at the Westport School of Mines of specimen stone brought to town gave the handsome return of 31 ounces to the ton.
