Lidgett, giving evidence before the Divorce Commission on behalf of the Wesleyan Church, said that any change in the existing law should achieve the strengthening of reverence for the marriage contract. He favored equality of the sexes. He had never known a divorce among Wesleyans. MARRIAGE CONTINUES AFTER DEATH. • London, November 30. Mr. Fredk. Harrison, before the Divorce Commission, said that the Positivist Society was opposed to divorce, and believed that marriage was continued after death, and was indissoluble. He preferred the law as at present.
