THE CONNAUGHTS' TOUR. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Johannesburg, November 30. The Duke and Duchess of Connaught had the heaviest day of their tour today. They were welcomed by huge and enthusiastic crowds, and the decorations in "the streets were lavish. They received an address in the Market Square, laid the foundation stone of the new Town Hall, and opened the Young Women's Christian Association building and the Art Gallery. In the afternoon they attended a garden party, and in the evening a mayoral reception. The Indians have written to the Duke regretting that, owing to the Union Parliament's non-compliance with their demands, it was impossible to associate themselves with the presentation of the address. Nevertheless they expressed loyalty to the throne, and tendered a personal welcome. ENTERING NATAL. Received 2, 12.35 a.m. Johannesburg, December 1.
