BUSINESS NOTICES.

The public are reminded of the sale of pedigree cattle which Mr. Newton King is holding at Waiwakaiho yards on Friday, Decepiber 2, (the day after the show). The present entries comprise only pedigree Jerseys, but of these, an exceptionally fine selection will be offered. The cattle are all of good breeding, as a glimpse at their pedigree will show—from such well-known breeders as Mr. Halcombe, Urenui, Mr. Harris, Bombay, Mr. Surrey, Huirangi, Mr. P. Hunter, Porangahau, Mr. Stevens, Maungatapere, and others not less well-known. Catalogues may be obtained from the auctioneer, or on the show ground. As this will be the last opportunity of securing pedigree Jersey cattle this year, farmers and .Jersey fanciers should not miss this opportunity. The next heat wave should have no terrors for the man who adapts his underwear to the change of temperature. .The lightest of underwear can now be obtained at the Melbourne at prices like the following: India, gauze singlets Is (id to 2s Cd, English Balbriggan singlets Is lid to 2s lid, fine natural wool singlets with ventilating gussets 2s lid to 3s !)d, fine English Balbriggan pants 3s 9d.—Advt.

Every visitor to the show will be interested in harvesting operations, and incidentally in stack covering. White and Sons have the agency for a special Tine of rick canvas, which is quite inexpensive. Farmers are asked to cal and* examine the material, which will prove much more convenient to use than thatch, kaving very obvious advantages at a trifling addition to the cost.—Advt.
