"What to give at Xmas" is the question Mr. J. Bennett answers in his replace announcement to-day. Mr. Bennett gives a lint which should prove helpful to everyone in search of a gift for a friend. An invitation is given to all readers to call and inspect the large stock of articles suitable for gifts. In this issue Griffiths and Co. give particulars of the conditions under which ttheir donation of a gold watcli to the Agricultural Society can be won. "Home for the holidays" sing out the college boys and girls, and the elder sisters and brothers who are fighting life's battle are all more or less preparing to return to the home next Xmas time. Busily the 'housewife is preparing for them, and the other relations who are expected—adding little touches of brightness here and there that she will show with pride when the time comes. To help such as are on the look-out for dainty aids to 'furnishing, Messrs. Morey and Son are advertising to-day new art sateens. These are specially new and novel designs and make up into lovely cushions and drapings. Call at Messrs. Morey and Son's and inspect these novelties while the range of colors is unbroken.
