The Alexander arrived from Westport yesterday morning with 220 tons of coal for the harbor, bhe completed discharging in the afternoon and sailed later for Greymouth. THE KOONYA. The Koonya, which arrivwl from jouthern ports yesterday, brc '" ' of cargo. She sailed Westport and Greymoutn. SOUNDS EXCURSIONS. The Union Company having abandoned this year's marine excursion to Milford Sound, has arranged for two of its intercolonial steamers, the Manuka and the Moeraki, to call at Milford Sound on their voyages to Hobart. These trips, however, will only be made at passengers' own risk, and in the event of the weather being too thick or heavy for the steamers to call in at the Sound, they will be called upon to bear the extra expense ineurred in being carried on to Hobart, the next port of call. The Huddart Parker steamer Ulimaroa will also visit Milford Sound under the same conditions. The vessels leave the Bluff in January. Steamers from Hobart to the "Bluff will not be able to call at Milford Sound, owing to mail connection exigencies.
