REBELS DEFEATED. By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright. Mexico, November 2S. An engagement took place at Chihuahua on Sunday between six hundred Feueral troops and four hundred Moderisters. The latter were driven, into the mountains after thirteen had been killed and many wounded.

A thousand Mexican revolutionists are fortifyi-ig positions at Fresno, in the Chihuahua district. President Diaz's troops are preparing for a vigorous campaign. Madero's family announce the recc-pt of news of his safety. Madero, who is gathering forces in the Laguan district, is reported to be unconcerned about the confiscation of his estates, for his funds were invested in American securities, and cannot be touched.
The publisher and editor of the El Corrio, a Chihuahua daily paper, was arrested for criticking an unnecessaryarrests by Diazites.
