BOWLING ON SUNDAYS.
To the Editor. Sir, —Some years ago some of us Wpst End residents approached the Borough Council about football playing on the Western Park and we were told that nothing could be done then, as the piece of land used for football was used by a private person but that when the Borough Council got control these doings would be put a stop to. The Council have had control for some years, but football playing goes on just as before, and no one says nay, and now those in authority are allowing further encroachments and are allowing bowling on Sundays. Now, Mr. Editor, if a private club owning their own property like the New Plymouth Club can prevent their green being used on i.
