Following the conference between Mr. Askwith and the miners' leaders, a general conference is projected to deal with the whole situation. Meanwhile the executive of the Miners' Federation of South AVales is imposing a levy of Is per month in aid of the' Cambrian strikers. None, however, will be given to the men of Powell Duffryn. The pumps at the Britannic Colliery have resumed work under police protection. There was some excitement over the arrival of three hundred Fusiliers.
