' The Administration gives a garden party and reception in their honor. Gaberones (Been.), November 23. The Duke of Connaught held an indaba of Beehuana chiefs, including Khama. At Potchefstroom, the Duke and Duchess of Connaught were accorded a reception equally as enthusiastic as at the other Africander centres.
The Duke reviewed the troops. Responding to an address of welcome, he said it was not due to their Majesties' inclination if, instead of merely postponing their South African visit, they were unable to carry it out. SPEECH BY MR. FISHER. Received 27, 5.5 p.m. Maritzburg, November 26. Mr. Fisher, addressing the Political Workers' Association, disclaimed the role of a political missionary, but urged South Africans to stand by one another, sinking local prejudices. If they kept together they would help the other dominions. If they failed, the failure would have far-reaching results. He felt that prosperity and security was the only possible result of unifying.
