Mr. Fisher, addressing the Political Workers' Association, disclaimed the role of a political missionary, but urged South Africans to stand by one another, sinking local prejudices. If they kept together they would help the other dominions. If they failed, the failure would have far-reaching results. He felt that prosperity and security was the only possible result of unifying.
