The examining magistrate at Hamburg lifelines to say whether extradition proceedings were pending in the case of Reinholtz (not Gerlaeh), who is under arrest for a murder at Dungog, cabled on November 23 last year. The body of a man with his skull badly fractured was found tied in a sack in a waterhole, near Dungog, said a Sydney cable on November 22 of last year. The victim was a man named Coleman. His mate, a German, whose name was given as Gerlach, was missing, and it was believed he had left the country. Coleman's savings, amounting to £77, had been drawn from the bank.
