CASE AflAtN "RANGI" WILSON

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington. Wednesday. Counsel addressed the jury this morning in the case of "Rangi" Wilson, charged with assaulting Calcinai in it football match. The Chief Justice, in summing up. said the only question was whether Wilson struck Calcinai or not; other questions were irrelevant. Twelve witnesses said Wilson struck the blow and twelve he did not. but the number of witnesses was not the sole test; the jurv had to weigh the value of the testimony. It was regrettable to have such cases, but bad behaviour on the football field had to be put down.
