SUMMARY AND FORECAST. jT By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following' is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast: —Rain fell m Hawke's Bay and a thunderstorm was reported during Tuesday night on the West Coast of the South Island, but the weather cleared up, and to-d%y has been mrm and'' fine, with moderate to strong easterly winds in* most of the country. The barometer has risen and fallen slightly everywhere. Present indications are for warto and fair weather in the North, but a change may be ex- ' pec ted shortly over the South Island, moderate to strong easterly winds pre■vailingmorthward of New Plymouth and Napier and increasing northerlies elsewhere. The barometer will probably fall everywhere, especially in the south.
