THE HAWERA SHOW.
It would be seen, on reference to the | list published yesterday, that the en- | tries for the Egmont A, and I'. As'ocia- i tion's anrua'l show are considerably s?> 5 ?> excess of last year's total, ap.il also sot up a record for the society. To secure this result the responsible officials Lave i made enthusiastic effort. The society's members, therefore, while they may derive pleasure from 'the vast sal isfactory J prospects for this year's ?'zow, ahjukt 1 not forget that great ere tit is d:ie to 'J their officials. In a district that is ' making rapid strides in connection with 1 farming matters, an increased interest in the society's welfare and its annual, show is only a natural sequence. But , undoubtedly the marked advancement and development generally in pastoral affairs throughout the district is in a j great measure due to the activities ot : the Egmont Association. The usual side-show element will be present in strong force. All indications are of a promising order, and, under favorable weather conditions, this week's carnival should easily surpass any held previously.
