AUCKLAND COMPETITIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland. Last Night. At the Auckland competitions to-night awards were made as follows:—Humorous recital: .Miss Maud Farrell (Auckland) 1. Mrs. MeCallum 2, Miss Kathleen Major 3. l'iano duet (over Hi): Dorothy Henderson and Mrs. C'. Ross 1. A iolin solo (over 1(1): Miss Ava Symons (Hastings) and Miss Bosworth (Auckland), !K5 points each, divided the first and second prizes. Impromptu speech: R, Algie 1, T. Hill 2, J. H. Luxfonl 3. Song (boys under Hi): Roy Dormer.
SHEARERS'. DISPUTE. Christchureh. Last Night. The shearing-shed hands' dispute was before the Arbitration Court, to-day, and was adjourned till Thursday to enable the production of the Union's minute liook to settle the point that the dispute was not properly before the Court. ,
