Workmen have been thrown into the river, and officials and their families harassed. RAILWAY TRAINS STOPPED. THREATS OF THE STRIKERS. Received 22. 10.30 p.m. London, November 22. The strikers in South Wales are holding up and searching trains for blacklegs, and they threaten to destroy the rails if blacklegs are carried. The manager of the Taff Vale railway demands the protection of the travelling public.
STRIVING FOR SETTLEMENT. Received 13, 1,15 a.m. London, November 22. Mr. G. B. Askwith, K.C., is attempting to settle the South Wales strike. Mr. Stanton lias withdrawn his offeiir sive remarks concerning the PowellDuffryn manager.
