WAITARA HORTICULTURAL SHOW
Intending exhibitors are reminded that entries close with the secretary this even- , ing at Waitara. New Plymouth exhibitors' entries if sent by the 3.50 p.m. mail , will reach Waifrara iii time. From what we can gather this town will send along ra goodly number of exhibits, and as the , show is a general one, there will natural- > ly be a large numier of entries, for dur- V| mg the past week or so flowers have come into bloom very rapidly. It is antiei- >, pated that there will be a numerous en- f try in roses and sweet peas, both these £ classes of flowers having come into much " prominence during the past two years. . With the warm weather and gentle rain . ■ blooms should be exceptionally profuse. In the vegetable classes!, also, there V should be ,a good show, more especially, 'J in potatoes. Quite a number of new ; exhibitors will be aiming at this parti- -,{i cular part of the show, and as the blight;.. .J has not been as bad as usual, cood tuliers "> will no doubt be produced. Taken alto- y, gether, our Waitara friends should have ■ ' an exceptionally good display. , -Jfl
