Butter.—The market is firmer,- and there is increasing demand for better grades. Choicest New Zealand to-day is Ills, Danish 117s, Siberian 103s, Australian 107s.
Cheese, —The market is steady. Canadian, 575. Hemp.—The market is flat, and nothing whatever is doing. Nominally, New ;Zealand good to iair on spot i> £23 10s. fair grade £2O 10s, fair'current Manila £l9 IV*; Forward shipments about the same. The output from Manila -.for the week'w.-s 22.000 bales.
