AUSTRALIAN TEAM'S TOUR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch. Last Night. A sub-committee of the New Zealand Hockey Association, which was set up to report upon the proposal to invite an Australian team to the Dominion, reported at a meeting that the team should pav the cost of their voyage to New Zealand and back, that the various affiliated associations should billet the team and guarantee the New Zealand Association a certain sum to defray the travelling expenses of the team in the Dominion. It was suggested that the centres should guarantee £25, and the minor associations £2O each. The estimated cost of the tour was £loo 8s , fld. The report was adopted, and it was 1 decided to communicate with the vari- ■ ous associations and ask them if they . would agree to the conditions, and, if so, i to let 'the secretary of the Association s have their guarantees by March 1.
