A GAS JET'S FREAK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Friday. A serious conflagration occurred in Brougham Drive last night, by which an eight-roomed dwelling was totally destroyed. The building was owned by Mrs. Hutclieson and occupied by Mrs. Everard. The origin of the fire is believed to have been due to a gas jet being too close to a wall. Very little was saved.
