The Rosamond, which arrived from Wellington and Picton on Thursday night, brought 315 tons of cargo, including 100 bags of superphosphates, 503 sacks of oats, 377 sacks of wheat, 150 sacks of oatmeal, 130 sacks, 75 hundreds, and 201 fifties of flour, 72 sacks of pollard, 75 sacks of potatoes, 119 cases of canned and dried fruits, 50 bags malt, and 500 sacks of chaff. She loaded her southern eargo yesterday afternoon, which amounted to 43 tons, including 344 cases of cheese for transhipment to the Fifeshire at Wellington, and sailed at 3 p.m. for Onehunga, from which port she proceeds direct to Wellington.

It has been definitely decided that the Koonya shall replace the Taviuni in the southern run.

The Kotuku, on her trip to Wellington after discharging here in Tuesday, took 30 hours. She was to have left Wellington on Thursday for the West Coast, where she is reported to load coal for New Plymouth and Onehunga. The Union Company's big steamer Aparima has been chartered to load 1,500,000 feet of timber at Port Huon, Tasmania, for Indian ports. She is due in Tasmania in January, after discharging an Indian cargo in New Zealand.
