Bates' •v summary and forecast:—Fair and warm " weather "has been experienced, though ! , Wednesday night was cold in parts. The I barometer rose slowly in the north, but is now falling everywhere. Moderate to strong winds have prevailed in the north, ; and northerly winds in the south, increas- / tag in parts. Present indications are threatening in the far north. Easterly ,' - -winds, strong to gale, are probable north- *■ ward of the East Cape and Kawhia, and freshening northerlies elsewhere. The '*' barometer will probably fall everywhere.
