SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Prew Aasociation. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather summary and forecast:—Bene-, ficial rains fell on Tuesday night and this morning in Hawke's Bay, but elsewhere the weather has been fair. Moderate to strong southerly winds have prevailed, with a steadily rising barometer. Present indications are for fine weather generallv. The barometer will probably rise slowlv in the north, but fall in the south after about eighteen hours. Moderate to strong south-easterly winds are probable northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and northerlies and westerlies freshening elsewhere shortly.
