CYCLING.

Mr. W. J. Neilso-n, proprietor of the Royal Oak Cheese Factory, Omata, has busied himself in getting up a bicyclu road race from Omata to Tataraimaka and back, open to all comers. In connection with this ?. well attended meeting was held in the Omata Hall oni Thursday last, when a real live management committee was appointed. A number of very handsome trophies have been donated by the leading firms of bicvcle manufacturers and others, as weR as some cash prizes.—The event is booked for December 8. A further meet- | ing of the management committee will be° held in the Omata Hall on Thursday, the 17th inst., to draw up the pro--1 gramme, which will. be duly advertised in our columns.
