SUMMARY AND FORECAST. <- By Telegraph—Frew Association. Wellington, Last Night ' Hie following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather summary and forecast: —Rain lias fallen in most parts of the country during Monday night in the north, and to-dav, especially on the east coast of the South Island. Moderate to strong southerly winds have prevailed. The barometer has risen everywhere. Present indications are for a slowly rising barometer everywhere. Moderate to strong southerly winds will probably prevail, and cool and changeable weather is probable generally with showers and drizde in many parts, especially southward of East Cape.
