THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond arrived from Onehunga on Saturday morning and sailed later for Wellington with about 1100 crates of cheese and a quantity of general cargo. THE KOTUKU. The Kotuku, which arrived from Greymouth and Westport yesterday, has about 50D tons of coal for the Railway Department. She discharges to-day. THE CORI'xXA. The Cnrinna, from Onehunga, berthed at the breakwater yesterday afternoon. To-day she loads butter and sails later for Wellington. THE HIMITANGI. List evening the Himitangi arrived with a cargo of coal from Westport and will discharge to-day. A NEW UNION LINER. Particulars of the new steamer ordered by the Union Steamship Co. for the intercolonial trade show that the vessel is to be somewhat larger than the Marama, her dimensions being 430 ft by 53ft (•in. and she will be about 7300 tons gross register, and will be the second largest vessel of the company's fleet, the Makura (8075 tons) being at present hpad of the list. The new vessel is expected to have a speed of 10% knots at sea under average loaded conditions. There will be accommodation for about 450 passengers in all classes and she will carry about 5000 tons dead weight. The vessel is to be ready for sea on August 1 next, so as to arrive in the Dominion in time for the summer season of 1911. The Koonya arrived at Westport on Friday from Uila, New Hebrides, whence she took a cano of coal. The is to leave on a similar mission to the same port from Westport this week.
