ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
YOUNG MAN POISONED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. A. A. Parker, aged 28, employed at the Sailors' Home, was admitted to the hospital last night suffering from the effects of a dose of spirits of salts. The manager heard groans from Parker's room,"and found him lying on the bed in a state of eallapse with a mug which he supposed had contained poison close handy. Parker died this morning. Parker was apparently in good health and spirits, and had apparently no cause for worry.
A BENZINE FATALITY. Taihape. Wednesday. Albert Harvey, aged 19, the victim of the burning accident caused while he was filling n lamp on the Ist instant, died yesterday afternoon from the effects of shock and exhaustion. At the inquest today the verdict was to this effect, the Coroner paying a tribute of praise to Ingram, the lineman, for the heroic way in which he had tackled deceased and torn off his burning clothes at the risk of his own life. FOUND DROWNED. Auckland, Last Night. The body of Robert Bennetts, an engineer, who had bien missing since October 31, was found floating in the Manukau harbor to-day. At arf inquest a verdict of "found drowned" was returned.
