Bates summary and fore,,.,t:-The weather has been very warn,, and ram has fallen in both northern and southern AstncU, and also in Hawke's Bay last night Moderate to strong westerly winds have prevailed, but a gale has l.«m expenenc %i in Foveaux Strait. Present indications are for moderate to strong northerlv winds. The barometer will probably fall slowly everywhere. Warm and humid conditions are probable generally, with unsettled weather both in the extreme north and south, and about East Cape.
