INGLEWOOD NEWS.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) On Thursday last summer games were fully initiated locally. The cricket teams played their first Thursday matches, and both proved victorious. The Tennis Club was opened, there being a good attendance. The two asphalt courts are playing well, and the committee hope to get the grass court fixed up at an early date. The swimming baths and croquet courts were 1 also opened. The water is now at a temperature of (i 4 deg. in the baths, so there is every probability of their being well patronised right from the beginning of the season. The cricket team has got a new set of blazers, which lend a very spick and spun appearance to the team. The letters, 1.C.C., are interwoven on the left breast. I. understand that Gudgeon will bfe bowling for the Club on Thursday, and should lie strike his old form he will prove a thorn in the sides of his opponents. There is some probability of W. Kinsel'.a being included in the team. Mcßae's 33 not out was a most meritorious performance on Saturday afternoon. but it was equalled bv Kinsella's trundling, his average being 5 for 8. I am pleased to be able to report that the victims of the gig accidents which caused so 'much consternation here last week arc progressing favorably. The Bion-raph-Pictures showed in the Parish Thill on Friday evening, when there was a large attendance. The programme was well up to its usual standard, and was fully appreciated.
