' By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchureh. Last Night. The following is the Rev. Bates' summary and forecast:—The weather has continued foggy on the West Coast of the South Island, and cloudy and warm weather has been experienced generally. Westerly winds, moderate to strong, have prevailed everywhere. Present indications are for mild and humid conditions generally, with heavy rain on the West Coast, "and rain probable shortly everywhere. High northerly and westerly winds are probable everywhere. The barometer will probably fall everywhere for a storm area apparently approaching from the westward, and the ■winds are expected to veer to southerly after from about forty to forty-eight hours.
