QUARTERLY FIGURES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The statement of receipts and expenditure of the Consolidated Fund for the quarter ended iSeptember 30 appears in to-night's Gazette. The principal figures are:—•

Receipts: Balance at beginning of the quarter, £641, 749 (less Treasury bills outstanding, £400,000), £241,749; ordinary revenue, £2,121,775; territorial revenue, £82,998; debentures renewed, £25,000; recoveries on account of expenditure in previous quarter, £l2; total, £2,471,534.

Expenditure: Permanent appropriations, £606,249; annual appropriations, £1,441,925; revenue transferred to Public Works Fund, £133,000; debentures renewed, £25,000; balance at end of quarter, £795,360 (less Treasury bills outstanding, £533,000), £265,960; total, £2,471,534.
