I Much interest is being taken in the [ New Plymouth Horticultural Society's j rose exhibition to be held in the Brougham Street Hall on Thursday, 17tii inst. Numerous entries have bee* promised, and there will also be some very fine exhibits of cut blooms and pot plants. The new class introduced for those who have never won a prize at a show should be very popular, and attract large eivtries. Schedules can be , obtained from the secretary. [

The season's busness has already left us with a large number of remnant ends in prints, dress goods, calicoes, drills, pandoras, sheetings, etc. These are all specialty' marked, and are offering' fr«m to-morrow at big reductions.—WJnte and Sons.—Advt.
