BOROUGH LOAN PROPOSALS
FOR STREET WORKS. The Mayor (Mr. G. Tisch) has given the following notice of motion for the next meeting of the New Plymouth Borough Council:— '■That in pursuance of the powers conferred by section 96 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1908, the Council, in anticipation of revenue, make the necessary arrangements to borrow from its bankers by way of overdraft or from any corporation or persons by way of temporary loan, sums of money for the purpose of completing the following works:— LEACH STREET. £ Forming six chains east of Eliot street 250 Forming Eliot street to Cameron street 25h Forming Cameron street to Gover street 295 Forming Gover street to Liardet street 5(70 Metalling the above portions of Leach street 200 Decking Te Henui railway bridge (£175, less contribution from Fitzroy Town Board) 125 MORLEY STREET. Forming Morley street from Western Park Gate to Barrett street 225 Metalling Morley street 110 BARRETT STREET. Metalling Barrett street 100 DAWSON STREET. Forming and metalling between St. Aubyn street and Hine str.eet. 150! VIVIAN STREET. ! Metalling between Morley street and Cutfield road 30 BULLER STREET. j Forming and metalling between New Gover street and Eliot street 150 NEW GOVER STREET. Forming and metalling 150 ELIOT STREET. Forming and metalling between Btuller street and Octavius place 150 MOLESWORTH STREET NORTH. Forming and metalling * 150 j £2910 And that the borough engineer be au-j thorised to prepare plans and specifications with a view of having the above schedule of works carried out by public tender." j
