THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington. Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast: —A change has taken place in the North Island to-day, and a low-pressure area is now developing in the far north. The weather has improved in the far south,' but mild and Cloudy weather prevails in the North Island, and light rain has fallen on the East Coast. Present indications are for mild and humid conditions over the North Island, with rain on the East Coast and in the northern districts. Prospects are fair but changeable elsewhere. Moderate to strong easterly and southeasterly winds wilfprobably prevail. The lnrometer is falling slowly in the north and rising for a short time in the south.
