STRATFORD DAY BY DAY
(From Ow Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. Mr. A. R\- Reed, of Toko, is leaving next week 6h a trip to New South Wales for the benefit of his health. Mr. T. Tichbon has, disposed of his residence in Regan street to Mr. E. Jackson, of Pohokura. Mr. E. Alger is taking over the grocery section of Mr. Potter's business. Mr. Potter leaves next week for Matamata, where he will take up farming. Curiosity has its penalties. A cat belonging to a Stratford resident who indulges in the hobby of bee-farming has discovered this. The bee-hives tempted the animal, and it made investigations. So did the bees, and the cat found that its fur was not impervious to the stings. Through the breaking of a girth, the Rev. B. Metson was thrown from his horse yesterday, and sustained a severe bruising. The cricket season will open at Stratford on November 10, when a practice match will be played with Eltham on the local ground.
