Mr. R. J. Dimes, of llawera, is on a brief visit to New Plymouth. Sergeant Haddrell ami his wife re-' turned from their honeymoon tour on i Saturday. Mr. C. E. Hanson, of Auckland, has been appointed manager of the Hon. C. Fowlds' Wellington business. Mr. L. J. Wild, 8.A., of Dunedin, has been appointed assistant-master at Wellington College, vice Mr. W. H. Monaghan, who has taken Holy Orders.
