THE PICTUREDRAMA BOOM. The remarkable vogue that has set in for picturedrama has been amply demonstrated by the success attending the pictured delineation of the vivid scenes and incidents that abound in Australia's historical book, "For the Term of his Natural Life." The story, made famous by Marcus Clarke's lurid pen, has been read by millions of people, and the picturedrama man, in alliance with the employment of a complete company of skilled and well-known professional actors, together with all the necessary impedimenta of theatrical resource, and a conscientious and careful regard to all the detail of stage work, has brought about a result that has won golden opinions from all classes of amusement lovers. Tlie producers not only bestowed minute pains upon the dramatic organisation, but transported all its various i units throughout the historic spots of i Tasmania and New South Wales, whereupon were re-enacted with striking versimilitude all the leading scenes' and situations that go to make up this highly dramatic story. The spectator is taken from Hampstead Heath to Norfolk Island, Tasmania and New South Wales, and sees the mutiny on the Malabar, the burning of the Hydaspes—in fact, the whole of the stirring incidents are vividly reproduced, the gruesome episodes in the book being more acceptable than it would be were all the dismal details included. The Taylor-Carrington management, ever on the look-out s for novelties, have secured from John Fuller and Sons the sole rights to produce this picturedrama, and will do so at the Theatre Royal next Tuesday evening. Special attention is drawn to' the prices and to the fact that seats may be booked without extra fee at Collier's music depot from 1) a.m. to-day.
