WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry.—At our mart on Saturday we had a good entry of poultry of' all classes. Prices were a shade easier though good ducklings are still in demand and realise good prices. Hens, Is 7d, Is lid; good youn and laying, 2s to 2s 4d; cockerels, young, Is to Is id; if air quality Is Od, 2s 4d; chicks, 3d to 7d; ducklings, three days old, S'/od to lOd, three weeks old Is lid to 2s 4tl; ducks, 2s 2d to 2s sd; guinea fowls, 2s Od each. Sundries sold at usual rates. Fruit—During the week fruit has come forward in large quantities, a fresh shipment of oranges and bananas from Rara tonga arriving on Monday. Californitin red permain apples 13s, 3 c/s lots 14s Od; oranges, original 14s Od, 5 c/s lots 14s Cd, re-packs lGs; Tongan bananas, ripe, 3d; Raratongan, green, 16s, l(is 8d; rhubarb, 3s (5d to 4s dozen bunches; lemons, 7s. Vegetables—Cabbages, 3s 9d; leeks, 4s Od; turnips, 4s 9d per sack; lettuces, 2s per case. Stock.—At our usual fortnightly sale at Oakura on Friday we had a very failfair entry, young cattle being in num.; bcrs. Bidding was brisk and prices still firm. Yearling heifers, £2 9s, £2 12s (id; do. steers, £2 9s Od, £2 lGs; store cows, £2 9s, £2 las; fresh do., £3 14s, £4 Gs; empty heifers, £4 3s; springing cows, £o to £5 3§; fine springing will be held on Friday, November 4.
