PLAGUE IN ENGLAND
OUTBREAK IN SUFFOLK. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 26, 9 p.m. London, October 2G. Mr, John Burns, President of the Local Government Board, announced that four deaths of suspected plague had occurred at Freston, in Suffolk, between the 16th and 29th September. There had been no cases since. A bacteriological examination showed that three dead rats and a hare were infested with plague. Stringent extermination «f rats and other precautions are being taken.
