Triggs, editor of the Christchurch Press, in an address to the Canadian Club at Toronto, strongly urged the extension of intercourse between Canada and New Zealand. The latter was doin<r her part by her preference tariff, and by establishing steamer communications "with Vancouver and Montreal, and by helping to place a branch of the Press Cable Agency at Vancouver.
